Plot Summary
The film revolves around Kallu (Amitabh Bachchan), a kind-hearted but poor man who lives with his brother Shamu (Kader Khan) and sister-in-law Parvati (Asha Parekh) in a slum. Shamu is a rickshaw driver who works for Shahani Seth (Amjad Khan), a ruthless businessman who exploits his workers. When Shamu meets with an accident and needs money for his treatment, Kallu decides to rob Shahani Seth's safe. However, he is caught and sent to jail, where he meets hardened criminals who teach him the tricks of the underworld. After escaping from prison, Kallu changes his name to Kaalia and vows to take revenge on Shahani Seth by destroying his business empire. Along the way, he falls in love with Shanti (Parveen Babi), a dancer who works for Shahani Seth's rival Raghu (Pran). Will Kaalia succeed in his mission or will he face the wrath of Shahani Seth?
